Doyin Hassan is a multi-talented writer, actor and academic. He is a full-time professor of International Business Management Degree. He is also the President of El-Gibbor Ministries.
Over the years, he has been involved in gospel film acting, script writing, and movie production. He lives a life of dedication to the service of God and man. His achievements in the Christian gospel drama ministry and academics continue to inspire lives and drive people to Christ.

Professor Doyin Hassan was born into a Muslim family on November 13, 1969. Thus, he grew up in a community of Muslims where he learned the Islamic codes and creeds. This shaped his identity, values and worldview through his formative years before he later converted to Christianity.

The biography of Doyin Hassan is incomplete without his conversion story. Born a Muslim, Doyin practised Islam to the core from his childhood through his days at the university. In an interview in Calgary, he shared that he became born again while serving as a National Youth Corp Member at Cross River State, Nigeria.
Christiangists gathered that before his conversion, he had been acting in the secular movies professionally until Grace found him in 2000. Professor Doyin admitted that crossing over to Christianity was difficult. But God has always come through for him in challenging times.
Between 2000 and 2005, he struggled between gospel drama and secular drama industries. He calls this period the transition phase. When the plan of God of his life became clearer to him in 2005, he stopped acting in secular movies and focused strictly on Christian movies.

His Movie Career
He began his acting career as a secondary student. He joined a guild of actors that moved from place to place and staged theatrical performances. That was long before the advent of home videos and recorded performances.
He recalled that he usually sneaked into the village headmaster’s studios and developed an interest in professional acting. He had worked with the National Troupe of Nigeria for many years and involved in several stage productions.
Before joining the Gospel Drama ministry in 2000, Doyin Hassan had featured in many secular movies and classic productions including “End Time” (1985), “Ti Oluwa Ni Ile” (1993), “Saworoide” (1999), “Arrows of God”, “Sango” (1997), etc.
Just like Moses, God used his experience in the secular movie production to prepare him for the work ahead of him. It is therefore not surprising that Doyin brings professionalism and experience to the Christian Drama Industry.
His role in Mount Zion’s “The Wounded Heart” (2000) marked his transition to Gospel Drama. According to his testimony, God used Evangelist Mike Bamiloye who caught the vision ahead of him and set the tone of his ministry.
