Summary of Abattoir Season 4: Episode 3

Episode 3 begins with Emeka trying to prevail on his boss to publish the investigative story about the Secret Seer of the Underworld. But if he must push the story out, then he must get Martins or Chief Durosanya involved as his credible source.

Meanwhile, Chief Durosanya is enjoying his new life with Christ. At the dining table, an interesting conversation pops up. Chief Durosanya no longer feels comfortable with his title “chief”, but Baba Gbenro insists he will address him in that manner, because “a life in Christ is full of riches.”

Soon, the conversation shifts to Martins. Baba Gbenro and Mama take turns and speak in parables to have his view on marriage. Obviously, Martins has good reasons to be scared of marriage. He went through a lot as a child, and the memory still haunts him. Yet, there is the place of healing.

In another scene, Dele regrets his actions. He keeps God in a box while pursuing his ambition. He could have saved a soul from probable suicide if he had preached to her and given her the attention she deserved.

In the camp of The Secret Seer of the Underworld, there is much regret that Sanya is living large in Christ. Their failure to bring him down has created a fresh problem: “The forces of the air, the forces on the land, and the forces of the sea have decided to spare our lives upon one condition: that we sacrifice our blessed seed.” But what can happen to God’s children when the agents of darkness gather against them?

Meanwhile, there is Gbenro, unyielding. And of Course Emeka and his wife are bent on revealing the truth about the Secret Seer. But Dele seems to have retraced his steps.

As Episode 3 draws to a close, Chief Durosanya gets a surprise visit from the Secret Seer. Gbade comes with the message that they are coming for him, but Sanya isn’t moved. Instead, he offers him salvation. But there is a twist. Gbenro’s fiancée is the daughter of a member of the cult.

Summary of Abattoir Season 4: Episode 4

Episode 3 of Abattoir ends with some interesting revelations that keep us craving for Episode 4, but here we are, having a recap of the events that happen afterwards!

AKin is surprised to see Chief Durosanya in his house. That is after a nightmare where his father attempts to butcher him to death. “Sanya the ritualist is now Sanya the preacher.” It dumbfounds akin to hear the story of Durosanya and the role he used to play in the cult.

With the voice recording Akin sends to Emeka, he thinks he has found a substantive proof to make a headline. But his colleague tells him to dig for more evidence. Meanwhile, Officer Gabriel acts along, proving innocent of her husband’s moves.

Melody’s boyfriend is out seeking a way out of the terrible life he is living. Darkness hangs around him, and there is no hope for him. He meets Dele, but will he seize this opportunity to convert a sinner to God?

With all the questions and complexities in-between, Akin eventually gives his life to Jesus. But Baba Gbenro is still trying hard to convince his son to join in the spiritual warfare. Gbade’s wife eavesdrops on her husband’s phone conversation and realises that Akin is the next in line. So she must save him at all costs.

But will her effort, coupled with Chief Sanya and Baba Gbenro, free him from death? Perhaps the next episodes will satisfy our curiosity.
