So Episode 1 of Abattoir Season 4 ends with an engaging scene between Chief Sanya and the Grandmaster, and other unresolved issues that leave us with many expectations in episode 2. Thankfully, it is now showing on Damilola Mike Bamiloye’s YouTube Channel, and we can’t contain our excitement about the masterpiece.
Without further ado, let’s have a conversation about the drama in Episode two.
Abattoir Season 4 Episode 2 Recap
Episode 2 begins with Sanya’s stunning victory over death and the power of hell through Jesus; an experience that brings him back to life after spending a long time in a coma. Thus, marking a new beginning of an insatiable desire to know God.
Meanwhile, the Grandmaster is in trouble. He just failed in his mission, and the clan is in for the consequences. Messenger is hellbent that the grandmaster concedes to defeat and falls on his own sword, but he pleads for another chance to prove his mettle. However, if this must happen, then all the cult members must sacrifice the blood of whom they cherish most!
Still, there is an ongoing puzzle about The Secret Seers of the Underworld. A young officer, Gabriel, cannot wrap her head about the “powers that be” yet. How can criminals exercise such influence and authority, yet go unchecked?
There is also a father and son moment between Dele and his lawyer dad. Dele believes the Student’s Union President is the next best thing to be after serving as the Students Fellowship President. However, his father shares a different opinion entirely. Politics is not a thing to try, but will Dele listen? In another scene, Akin confronts his mum for keeping mum over Gbade’s membership in a cult group. He also believes his father has a hand in the death of his younger sister.
Morenike’s Call, Baba Gbenro, and other Things at Stake
Morenike fails to stop Akin from leaving the house. Realising the danger ahead, she calls Baba Gbenro and warns him against Gbade and the cult’s plan. Chief Sanya, who is now a disciple of Baba Gbenro also advises him to leave at once, but Baba Gbenro will not move an inch but by God’s command. Instead, he seizes the moment to teach Chief Sanya about the supernatural acts of God and sheds light on certain grey areas.
Emeka fixes a meeting with Akin to uncover the activities of The Secret Seer of the Underworld. The meeting leaves both of them with bewildering revelations that beg for more questions than answers.
Another scene opens up and we see many students flocking around Dele. His fame is growing by the day and that’s good for his political aspiration. But it is glaring that Dele is sacrificing his spiritual vocation for politics. A hopeless sinner walks up to him and shares her burdens with the hope of getting saved, but guess what? Dele chose political interests over winning a soul for God.
While Emeka continues to find facts about the secret operations of the cult group and their sponsors, Akin visits a herbalist to fortify himself against possible attacks on him. Forces are indeed gathering and Martins with his father are on the hit list.
Ending, Episode 2 of Abattoir Season 4 leaves us with many unresolved issues and questions that make us wait eagerly for a gripping drama and interesting acting in episode 3.
